Train Strikes May 2025 Scotland. The rmt union has announced strike action affecting avanti west coast on 31 december and 2 january, along with all sundays from 12 january to 25 may 2025. Rmt members who work as train managers at avanti west coast will also be striking every sunday from january 12 until may 25 2025.

Scotrail has confirmed that its full timetable will operate as normal on friday, 12 may and saturday, 13 may, when members of two rail trade unions take part in planned strike action. Its members working as train managers will strike on new year’s eve, january.
